I have always been a creator, turning made up stories and illustrations into little copy-paper books held together with yarn stitches as a little kid and playing elaborate stories with my dolls and Breyer horses. I would always bring paper and colored pencils with me on road trips, or spend hours at the beach doodling on other children, giving them "tattoos" with my little pouch of markers. If I wasn't drawing or coloring, I was fishing or catching frogs in the woods; I was always outside if I could help it, exploring the woods and climbing on rocks. I read lots of books and always daydreamed about being part of the stories; only a few years ago did I get back into reading heavily, thanks to "The Vampire Lestat" by Anne Rice; Fantasy is my preferred subject, and the way some authors are able to convey love between fictional characters is how I hope to show those same feelings on canvas.
Like most other artists, I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Art was stability in an unstable life, and I was dedicated to it for my entire childhood. I was lucky enough to live in Rhode Island and get involved with Project Open Door from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD); I got to work with kids my age that loved creating just as much as I did, and experimented with many many different mediums such as sculpture, photography, charcoal, toy design and stop motion animation. I met many industry professionals and was mentored by many talented artists through this program, and am forever thankful to have been influenced by them. After high school, I went to Rhode Island College and quickly found that it was not for me; since then, 9-5 work has taken up much more of my life than I would like it to, and so Love in Brushstrokes was born. With the support of my incredible partner I have been able to learn and grow my business, evolving from pet portraits and charcoal drawings to Live Wedding Painting! I dove head first into the industry in 2024 after seeing a viral Tiktok video and thinking "I can do that!" I didn't expect to fall in love with it as much as I did, and I look forward to adding a special touch to any couples' wedding day!

There are silver linings and small victories happening each and every day, and I believe it's important to remember all of the good left in the world. Through painting I hope to create art that will show people there is always love to be found and treasured, you just have to look.
